History of the School
The S.B.O.A Matriculation & Higher Secondary School embarked upon the noble mission of educating and illuminating the children of Madurai in the year 1979. Today, the institution stands as an embodiment of unparalleled excellence and has impacted the lives of thousands of children elevating the standard of education to great heights. The untiring efforts of the members of staff have helped the school to be rated consistently as the Best Educational Institution in Madurai.
The school enjoys the prestigious reputation of being the best co-educational, English Medium day school in Madurai. It has on roll 650 students from Std X to Std XII with 37 Teaching staff, 3 Office staff, 1 Nurse, 1 Counsellor, 1 Site Supervisor and 7 Service staff.
The pupils of classes Std X to Std XII are accommodated in the blocks of the four-storey building at Nagamalai West.
The school offers state - of - the art facilities - a Sports pavilion, the H.A Carr 400 metre track, N.M. Chellam Open Air Auditorium, resourceful Library, spacious and well equipped Laboratories, SMART Class and Computer centre with internet facility.
The school maintains a record of 100% passes in 30 batches out of 32 batches of students who appeared for Matriculation Examination and in 25 batches that took up the Higher Secondary Exam.
